Gambit plot details possibly revealed, Peggy Carter returning for Avengers 4, Terminator 6 details and more – Daily News Roundup

GAMBIT DETAILS

Although it was announced in 2014, 20th Century Fox’s Gambit has really struggled in development hell – passing through two director’s hands with various writers attached. The folks over at SlashFilm claim to have the inside scoop with plot details, calling it the Oceans 11 of the comic book genre. Read those details here.

THE GOLDEN CIRCLE

Kingsman: The Golden Circle topped the US box office this weekend, earning $39 million to topple It and The LEGO Ninjago Movie. It also earned a further $61.2 million from international markets for a worldwide opening weekend of $100.2 million. The Golden Circle’s international receipts are up 63% on its predecessor from the same locations, while the film is still to open in over half of the international markets including South Korea, France, China and Japan. PEGGY RETURNS?

Many familiar faces have been spotted heading to the set of Marvel’s Avengers 4, and a surprising name can be added to that list. Atwell shared the following image to her Instagram account, complete with curlers in her hair and tracking dots across her face. Given Marvel’s penchant for digitally de-aging and aging its stars using CGI, it’s possible that Atwell is teasing playing an older version of Peggy. HOMECOMING BOX OFFICE SUCCESS

Spider-Man: Homecoming has now overtaken Wonder Woman and Guardians of the Galaxy to become the biggest superhero movie of the year so far. Read more here.

HE’LL BE BACK

Following the announcement that Linda Hamilton will be returning to the Terminator franchise along with Arnold Schwarzenegger, and the Austrian machine has revealed more details about the upcoming Tim Miller directed film. Along the details revealed, Terminator 6 will be a direct sequel to T2: Judgement Day and will ignore the events of Terminator: Genisys, Terminator: Salvation and Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. BLUNDER WOMAN

Before Gal Gadot took on the Lasso of Truth, Adrianne Palicki was set to star as Wonder Woman in an NBC pilot from David E. Kelly. The series wasn’t picked up, and Palicki has now spoken about the failed project. “I was devastated when the pilot didn’t go,” states Palicki. “But I also look at it, like, I got paid to wear that costume. And that is one of the coolest moments of my life running down Hollywood Boulevard. Like, that was so cool.” Read more here.
