Hugh Jackman responds to Deadpool calling X-Men Origins: Wolverine a career-low

January 28, 2016 by admin

Last week, Deadpool posted a video of him celebrating Australia Day in which he mocked Wolverine actor Hugh Jackman and made fun of X-Men Origins: Wolverine – a movie in which Ryan Reynolds played a version of Deadpool – saying it was a career low for Jackman.

Yahoo! Movies caught up with Jackman on the promotional trail for Eddie the Eagle and asked him about what he thought of the comments.

“Love it,” Jackman joked. “It’s just brilliant. I mean, I love Ryan, he’s a good mate of mine.”

When asked if he would consider teaming up with Reynolds for a Deadpool sequel, Jackman responded: “I’ve never thought about it till now, but doing something with Ryan – he’s awesome – that’s always attractive to me.”

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
