Pied Piper-inspired horror The Confession gets a trailer and poster

December 12, 2025 by Amie Cranswick

A trailer, poster and images have landed online for The Confession, writer-director Will Canon’s twisted take on the classic tale of The Pied Piper.

The horror centres on the recently widowed Naomi as she moves back to her childhood home in rural Texas with her young son, where she discovers a tape in which her deceased father confesses to the murder of a man that links to an evil force. When she enlists the help of a friend to unravel the mystery, they uncover the terrifying history of their hometown and race to stop the evil which has now targeted her son.

The cast includes Italia Ricci, Zachary Golinger, Scott Mechlowicz, Terence Rosemore, Allie McCulloch, and Justin Matthew Smith. Watch the trailer below…

Naomi, a recently widowed musician, moves with her young son back into her childhood home several years after the death of her father. In the attic of the house, she discovers a cassette tape on which her father describes a grisly murder he claims to have committed to protect himself from an unknown evil force. Unsure what to make of this revelation, Naomi enlists the help of an old friend to get to the bottom of the mystery, and together, they discover sinister details about the history of their hometown. As her son exhibits increasingly unsettling behavior, Naomi becomes desperate in her attempts to stop the evil.

The Confession arrives on digital on January 16th.
