Psychological horror Karma: The Dark World arrives on PC and PS5

March 27, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Wired Productions and developer Pollard Studio have today released their psychological horror Karma: The Dark World on Playstation 5 and PC via Steam and GOG. This new title will have players confronting their fears as they uncover hidden secrets in the minds of others.  Watch the new trailer below…

Karma: The Dark World takes players to a dystopian East Germany in 1984, where the powerful Leviathan Corporation controls the citizens with an iron fist. They rule through mass surveillance, social class rules and mind altering drugs to create a society similar to George Orwell’s creation.

Taking the role of Roam Agent Daniel McGovern, a worker at Leviathan’s Thought Bureau, players will mind-dive into the memories of a group of suspects in what he believes to be another routine investigation. It’s not long before his thoughts on the investigation soon unravel and become a dark conspiracy that challenges everything he believes in, and makes him question his own reality.

Using this mind-diving technology, players will investigate crime scenes, interview suspects, explore the twisted environments of suspects memories and uncover the horrors that hide there. As the lines between the surreal and reality begin to blur, will Daniel be able to keep his sanity?

Features:

  • Use a combination of investigative tools, interviews and intellect to solve puzzles and unravel the truth.
  • Dive into the memories of suspects to piece together the investigations, but watch out for the dangers of emotions, will and desires in the suspect’s subconscious.
  • Discover a dark story of love, loss and deception, where nothing is as it seems and every turn brings another twist to unravel.
  • Stunning visuals powered by Unreal Engine 5.
  • A soundtrack combining orchestral scores with original songs.

Karma: The Dark World is available now on Playstation 5 and PC via Steam and GOG. An Xbox version is planned for a later date.
