It was a big night for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse at the 46th annual Annie Awards last night, with Sony’s acclaimed animated superhero adventure sweeping all seven of its categories including the coveted Best Animated Feature.
Into the Spider-Verse is the first Sony animation to take the top prize at the Annies, and the studio must now be feeling confident that Spidey can web up the Oscar for Best Animated Feature – an award it is set to contest against Incredibles 2, Isle of Dogs, Mirai and Ralph Breaks the Internet.
