Terrifier: The ARTcade Game sets November release with bloody new trailer

October 25, 2025 by Andrew Newton

A new trailer has been released for 2D beat ‘em up Terrifier: The ARTcade Game , revealing the game will launch on 21st November. But that’s not all, as the new trailer also introduces the game’s main theme, which has been composed by Cody Carpenter, son of legendary filmmaker and horror icon John Carpenter.

Terrifier: The ARTcade Game’s launch next month will let players experience a twisted 16-bit world as a pixellated Art the Clown. Though the world may be pixellated, it still captures the essence of the Terrifier films with its gruesome and gory action. As players turn film sets and streets into slaughterhouses, they will be able to enjoy all the hacking and slashing action with its smooth animation. This 16-bit game will tickle the old nostalgia bone and cause nightmares.

To be able to turn victims into bloody puddles, players will be able to pick up a selection of weapons and use these with power-ups to give that extra edge in combat. During combat, players can enjoy over-the-top gory attacks and finishing moves that will leave an impression.

There are multiple stages for players to fight through, each containing different paths to explore and plenty of enemies to defeat. At the end of each section, there will be a boss that will test the skills they have gained. There will be six different game modes that will cater for all players, from quick beat ’em up sessions to extended challenges, and each mode comes with unique twists and obstacles.

Players can team up with up to three friends for a chaotic local co-op experience. Thanks to the various game modes that offer their own unique challenges, players will be able to work together or against each other.

Terrifier: The ARTcade Game will arrive on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam on 21st November.
