The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr now in Early Access on PC and Mac

May 21, 2019 by Andrew Newton

Bethesda has announced that The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr and update 22 are now in Early Access for PC and Mac gamers.  This latest chapter in the Elder Scrolls Online saga will bring adventurers a new zone, an absorbing new story to follow, and the Necromancer class.  Check out the new Dragon Rage trailer below…

In the latest update, the ancient land of Elsweyr, the homeland of the Khajit, is under attack from every direction with monstrous dragons circling the skies and the Imperial armies invading across the borders. To make matters worse, the northern city of Rimmen now lies under the control of the Usurper Queen Euraxia leaving scattered defenders near powerless against ehr legions and the growing army of undead.  This chapter of the year-long Season of the Dragon adventure will see players having to remove Euraxia from power.

The new lands of Elsweyr provide lots of challenges to new and old players, with new World Bosses, Public Dungeons and Delves scattered throughout, there’s also plenty of side quests to complete.

The new Necromancer class allows players to command and manipulate the bodies of the dead.  These black arts will enable players to make use of corpses and use powerful elemental spells against their foes.  However, necromancy is understandably forbidden in Tamriel and practicing this black magic in public will gain plenty of unwanted attention.

Players will be able to encounter Dragons in world events called Dragon Hunts throughout Elsweyr and in the zone’s Trial called Sunspire.  These hunts will require players to work as a team to fell the beast, remember, in ESO there is no Dovahkiin powers to rely on.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr will be available for £24.99 or is included in a package with the base game, and the Morrowind and Summerset chapters for £39.99. Console players will be able to explore Elsweyr on 4th June.
