The Mandalorian season 3 set to premiere in December 2021

December 11, 2020 by EJ Moreno

Fans of the hit Disney+ series won’t have to wait too long for another round with Mando and little Grogu. During Disney’s Investor Day conference, Kathleen Kennedy announced that a third season of The Mandalorian is on its way in December 2021.

Disney+’s flagship program was met with great acclaim during its first season, and its second season is seeing the show grow to new heights. Season 3 is currently in development, and now Mandalorian fans can mark this date on their calendars.

During the press conference, it was also announced that The Mandalorian is getting two spin-offs in Star Wars: Ahsoka and Star Wars: Rangers of the New Republic, with Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni producing both.

Other Star Wars announcements yesterday included a teaser for Star Wars: Andor, Hayden Christensen’s Darth Vader return for Star Wars: Obi Wan Kenobi, a Star Wars: Lando limited series, and Star Wars: Rogue Squadron, a new movie from Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins.

The Mandalorian season two sees the returning Pedro Pascal (Din Djarin), Gina Carano (Cara Dune), Carl Weathers (Greef Karga), Giancarlo Esposito (Moff Gideon), Bill Burr (Mayfield), and Ming-Na Wen (Fennec Shand) joined by the likes of Temuera Morrison (Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones), Katee Sackhoff (Star Wars: The Clone Wars), Timothy Olyphant (Justified), Michael Biehn (The Terminator), Rosario Dawson (Daredevil), and WWE Superstar Sasha Banks.

The Mandalorian airs on Disney+ on Fridays.
