The Top 100 Your Sinclair ZX Spectrum Games: #94 – RoboCop

May 26, 2016 by Villordsutch

Villordsutch counts down Your Sinclair’s Top 100 ZX Spectrum Games…

Arriving at Number #94 and we hit one of the first crimes in this Your Sinclair Top 100 as we find Murphy upholding the law and searching for justice in one of the greatest movie tie-in games on the ZX Spectrum.  We’ve arrived – already – at RoboCop!

From one of the most well-known publishing houses around, RoboCop came from the Ocean Software stable. Based in Manchester, this company delivered such classic titles as Head over Heels, The Great Escape and Batman – The Movie.  RoboCop was not only an excellent game but its opening theme is still today remembered as one of the greatest pieces of music ever to be emitted from the Spectrum and if anyone misses it they can hear it here.

It’s a sheer crime that this game has featured so low in this Top 100. With mini-games throughout, staying close to the game’s original story and fantastic graphics and gameplay, Robocop should have been far higher in this chart.  Where’s the justice!?
