Zack Snyder returning to Justice League, Ant-Man and the Wasp set photos, Edge of Tomorrow 2 exclusive and more – Daily News Roundup

JUSTICE LEAGUE RUMOURS

Back in April it was announced that Justice League director Zack Snyder was stepping down from the upcoming superhero team-up movie due to personal issues. Since then the reshoots have been helmed by Joss Whedon (Avengers: Age of Ultron), which have been described as both minor and major depending on which outlets you choose to believe. Well, a new rumour from a subreddit entitled r/DCEULeaks by a poster going by the name of WBUT7 who claims that Snyder is now back on set helping Whedon finish the film. “There have been rumors around the office and around the levels that Zack Snyder will soon return to finish up his movie,” they claim. “Although these are in no way confirmed, people have been talking about how he may come in within the next month or so to finalize the product and promote it.” Read more here.

LET THEM FIGHT

Adam Wingard is currently promoting his Netflix movie Death Note, but a lot of reporters are more interested in asking about his monster mash Godzilla vs. Kong. In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Wingard has promised the creature feature will have a decisive winner. “I do want there to be a winner,” the said. “The original film was very fun, but you feel a little let down that the movie doesn’t take a definitive stance. People are still debating now who won in that original movie, you know. So, I do want people to walk away from this film feeling like, ‘Okay, there is a winner’.” Read more comments from Wingard here.

ANT-MAN AND THE SET PHOTOS

Marvel Studios kicked off production on Ant-Man and the Wasp earlier this month, and MCU Tweets has got its hands on a few photos from the Atlanta set of the Peyton Reed-directed sequel. Check them out here.

LOGAN RIDER

In an new interview with CinemaBlend, David Hasselhoff has revealed he’s spoken to director Robert Rodriguez and suggested they do a new Knight Rider movie and take inspiration from Logan. “I want to bring it back and make it dark,” he said. “Michael Knight comes back and he’s pissed. … I hope it happens, and if it does, it’ll be kind of like Logan. It will be dark. Hasselhoff as Michael Knight in 2017. Knight Rider. The saga continues.” Read more here.

EDGE OF TOMORROW 2 EXCLUSIVE

Flickering Myth’s Amon Warmann caught up with director Doug Liman this past week to discuss the upcoming release of his new film American Made, and managed to squeeze some info on Edge of Tomorrow 2 – titled Live Die Repeat and Repeat. “I was not going to make a sequel to Edge of Tomorrow, I’m not really interested in sequels, I’m interested in trying new things, new places,”said Liman. “But we came up with an idea for a sequel that’s so shockingly revolutionary for how a sequel would get made, and it’s so fresh and it’s such a fun story. We only even started talking about a sequel because there was so much fan affection for the movie, that people started asking us about a sequel.” Read the rest of the interview here.
