Dwayne Johnson linked to John Stewart, a.k.a. Green Lantern

January 3, 2014 by admin

On New Year’s Eve Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson teased a role in an upcoming DC film from Warner Bros., leading to speculation that WB could be reviving the planned Lobo adaptation, or that Johnson might find himself lining up with the likes of Henry Cavill (Superman), Ben Affleck (Batman) and Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman) in Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel sequel Batman vs. Superman.

Well, if rumours are to be believed, Johnson could be in line to play the John Stewart incarnation of Green Lantern, with Peter Georgiou of Think McFly Think stating on Twitter that the rumour is “floating around behind the scenes in the industry.” Now, this could be little more than speculation, and there’s nothing to suggest there’s any more truth in this rumour than the ridiculous claims about Denzel Washington being on the studio’s radar for John Stewart, so until we hear something official, be sure to take this with a pinch of salt.

Would you like to see Dwayne Johnson playing Green Lantern in Batman vs. Superman or Justice League? Let us know in the comments below…
