Is Brad Peyton directing Dwayne Johnson in Shazam?

January 17, 2017 by Robert Kojder

Last week Dwayne Johnson revealed that he had met with the head honchos of the DC Extended Universe to discuss the tone of future movies, and more specifically Shazam, for which he is set to play Black Adam.

Well, Batman-News has pointed out that since that meeting, DC head Geoff Johns has begun following a number of Johnson’s producing collaborators on Twitter, but more interestingly has also followed director Brad Peyton.

For those unaware, Peyton has directed Johnson in Journey 2: The Mysterious Island and San Andreas, and is also attached to helm San Andreas 2, Journey 3: From the Earth to the Moon and Rampage, all of which have The Rock on board to star.

So, could we have found our Shazam director?

Shazam! is scheduled for release on April 5th, 2019.
