Ray Fisher claims DC Films boss called Joss Whedon “an asshole”

September 20, 2020 by Amie Cranswick

The very public spat between Cyborg actor Ray Fisher and Warner Bros. over the allegedly abusive behaviour of Joss Whedon towards the cast and crew of Justice League rolls on, with Fisher now claiming that DC Films boss Walter Hamada called Whedon “an asshole”.

Responding to recent comments from Hamada that Fisher is refusing to cooperate with an investigation into Whedon’s conduct, the actor took to Instagram to state:

“[Walter Hamada] did throw Joss Whedon and Jon Berg under the bus. A conversation wherein he did claim that Joss Whedon was an asshole, that he never planned on hiring him and that did not fit his vision for the future of DC Films. Quote me on that. If it’s not true, Walter, go ahead and sue me on that.”

That’s not the only did at the studio from Fisher this week, as he has also suggested that the news that Ben Affleck is reprising his role as Batman in The Flash movie was a “PR tactic” to distract fans from the Justice League situation, while he also accused the studio of “blatant lies” and requested a change of investigator:

Unfortunately, the fake Frosty news with Jason wasn’t the only PR tactic used to distract from the seriousness of the JL situation.

Ben returning as Batman was clearly meant to be revealed at DC Fandome.

I’ll give you one guess as to why @wbpictures likely jumped the gun.

So as to protect the witnesses involved, and the information they possess, I strongly encourage ANY and ALL that have been contacted by the current investigator to respectfully decline to interview until a truly independent 3rd-party is engaged by @WarnerMedia.

As yet, Warner Bros. has declined to respond to Fisher’s latest comments and allegations.

In Justice League, fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League is directed by Zack Snyder and features Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta and Robin Wright as General Antiope, J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon, Amber Heard as Mera, Ciaran Hinds as Steppenwolf and Ray Porter as Darkseid.
