Star Trek: The Next Generation comes to World of Warships and World of Tanks Blitz

July 11, 2024 by Andrew Newton

Wargaming and Paramount have formed an alliance to conquer the Alpha Quadrant as the Star Trek franchise comes to World of Warships on PC, World of Warships: Legends and World of Tanks Blitz.  In World of Warships, Star Trek: The Next Generation brings new ship skins, commanders, flags, patches and more, while in World of Tanks Blitz players will board the U.S.S. Enterprise for an epic event.  See more in the trailer below….

In both the PC and console versions of World of Warships, players will be able to see their vessels in a brand-new port that has been inspired by the U.S.S. Enterprise-D Starship.  From there, ship captains will be able to choose from four factions from the Star Trek universe, with each having their own unique Commanders, ship camouflages, flags and patches.

Each of the four factions will have a fully voiced character from Star Trek: The Next Generation, these will include Jean-Luc Picard for the Federation; the beloved Spock for the Vulcans; Romulan military officer, Commander Sela; or Gowron of the Klingon Empire.

Each faction has a ship skin themed on the four factions, with a special U.S.S. Enterprise skin for the American Premium Tier VIII aircraft carrier Enterprise, a Klingon Bird-of-Prey skin for the British Tier VII light cruiser Fiji, a Romulan Warbird skin for the Japanese destroyer Akatsuki and the Vulcan cruiser skin for the German Tier VII Battleship Gneisenau,

The Star Trek: The Next Generation event will run until 4th August on World of Warships: Legends and until 7th August on World of Warships.

Until 31st July in World of Tanks Blitz, players are able to take part in the secret ‘Operation – Into the Unknown’.  There are iconic Star Trek avatars up for grabs, including James T. Kirk, Leonard “Bones” McCoy, Spock, Sulu and Uhura.  There are also four exclusive Star Trek-inspired camouflages available to gain with some based on Klingon and Vulcan languages or styled in the colours of Starfleet uniforms.

Tank commanders can also attempt to pass a special mission inspired by the famous Kobayashi Maru test. Those who complete this test will earn exclusive rewards such as an animated U.S.S. Enterprise avatar and profile background.  Plus there will be more rewards to earn from 15th July as players test their skills against the Borg in the First Contact quest.

Commanders will also notice that new technology is lurking on the battlefields, namely the Endurance tank, a vehicle adapted specifically for research and exploration missions.

Log on to World of Tanks Blitz, World of Warships: Legends and World of Warships to take part in an out-of-this-world event.
