Sci-fi survival The Alters receiving physical release in June

April 12, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Silver Lining Interactive and 11 bit studios have announced they will be releasing a physical edition of the emotionally charged sci-fi survival adventure The Alters.  PC gamers will be able to purchase this Signature Edition on 13th June alongside the game’s digital release, while PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X physical editions will be released on 18th July. A trailer for this new physical edition can be seen below…..

The Alters will release physically in both a standard and Signature editions, with the latter featuring a wealth of exclusive content designed to deepen the player’s connection to the unique game world.

The Alters Signature Edition comes in a collector’s, oversized box with exclusive artwork and includes plenty of items of Alters intrigue.  These items are:

  • A 4-Pin Set of sleek pins featuring in-game logo designs.
  • Customise your gaming equipment, your laptop, or anything with a Sci-Fi Sticker Sheet with thematically designed decals.
  • A Molly Keychain – Carry the iconic cloned sheep with you, she’s more than just a mascot, she’s part of the crew.
  • Pierogi Maker – A heartfelt tribute to the dev team’s fuel of choice during the arduous development process.
  • A Lenticular Art Card – Just like the game itself, this lenticular card has shifting perspectives.

The Alters is a sci-fi survival adventure that puts players in the role of Jan Dolski, the lone survivor of a space mission gone terribly wrong. Alone and stranded on a hostile planet, Jan is forced to build a mobile base and create alternate versions of himself using a substance called Rapidium.  These alternate versions of himself, known as The Alters, reflect a different life path shaped by Jan’s past choices, so bring unique skills and different personalities to the crew.

As players gather resources, expand their base and their crew, and brave the deadly anomalies, they will have to face tough moral decisions that determine relationships and survival in a branching narrative.

The Alters will launch as a physical Standard and Signature Edition for PC on 13th June with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X following on 18th July. Pre-orders are available now from the Silver Lining online store.
