Emma Thompson and Ruth Wilson go Down Cemetery Road in trailer for Apple TV+ mystery series

September 29, 2025 by Amie Cranswick

Apple TV+ has released a trailer for Down Cemetery Road, the upcoming adaptation of Mick Herron’s (Slow Horses) novel of the same name from his “Zöe Boehm” book series.

The series stars Emma Thompson as Zoe, a private investigator who is enlisted by Sarah (Ruth Wilson), a woman who becomes obsessed with disappearance of her young neighbour, to aid her search. Together the pair find themselves diving into a complex conspiracy on their mission to expose the truth.

Joining Thompson and Wilson in the cast are Adeel Akhtar, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett, Tom Goodman-Hill, Darren Boyd, Tom Riley, Adam Godley, Sinead Matthews, Ken Nwosu, Fehinti Balogun and Aiysha Hart. Check out the trailer below…

When a house explodes in a quiet Oxford suburb and a girl disappears in the aftermath, neighbor Sarah Trafford (Ruth Wilson) becomes obsessed with finding her and enlists the help of private investigator Zoë Boehm (Emma Thompson). Zoë and Sarah suddenly find themselves in a complex conspiracy that reveals that people long believed dead are still among the living, while the living are fast joining the dead.

Down Cemetery Road premiere on Apple TV+ on October 29th.
