Solo Leveling: ARISE to feature Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End in new collaboration

October 28, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Netmarble has announced a new update for its action game Solo Leveling: ARISE, bringing an incredible collaboration with the popular manga and anime series Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End. This collaboration event will introduce new SSR hunters, special crossover content, and much more.

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End follows an elf mage (the titular Frieren) who sets out on a journey after having defeated the Demon King. During this collaboration event, Frieren appears as one of three new SSR Hunters and is a water-type Mage who uses magical spells to control the battlefield. When in combat, Frieren can release her Ultimate Skill, “Basic Magic Attack (Zoltraak) – Ultimate,” which releases a massive magical blast. The other two new SSR Hunters are Fern, a fire-type Mage who is capable of using the Ultimate Skill “Demon-killing Magic (Zoltraak) – Mighty”, and Stark, a fire-type Tank who uses a huge axe in combat and can perform the “Lightning Strike: Annihilation” Ultimate Skill to strike and shatter the ground.

Each of these new Hunters comes with their own exclusive weapon, Frieren’s Staff, Fern’s Staff, and Stark’s Axe, but there’s also a new exclusive SSR light-element weapon for Sung Jinwoo: the “Sword of the Hero.”

Players are now able to obtain exclusive check-in rewards in the Check-In Gift Event. Just by logging in to the game, players can gain rewards such as the Travel Companions! SSR Hunter Selection Ticket. There’s also a new challenging collab event dungeon where players will fight the event boss “Aura the Guillotine”.

Other additions with the update include the addition of “Monarch of Steel [Valtair]” as a new boss in the Workshop of Brilliant Light game mode, a new boss in the Instance Dungeon, and new content in “The Overseer’s Forbidden Library”, which arrives on 6th November.
