When junior high students Ryusuke and his cousin Tomomi are swept away by a raging river, a mysterious dragon rescues them — only to reveal a devastating truth: they have died. Offered a rare chance to return to life, the two must journey through the spirit world and uncover their purpose.
Their adventure begins in a nightmarish 1960s-style town filled with violence, torment, and souls trapped in endless suffering. But hell is only the first stop. From there, they ascend into Shambhala and realms beyond, meeting gods, spirits, and guides who test their courage and awaken their mission.
A sweeping animated odyssey, Dragon Heart – Adventures Beyond This World blends myth, spirituality, and coming-of-age emotion into a bold, visually striking adventure that asks: What is your purpose in life — and what would you face to reclaim it?
Dragon Heart: Adventures Beyond This World is set for a digital release on March 3rd.
