Bill Hader and Kate McKinnon join voice cast of Finding Dory

March 31, 2016 by Scott J. Davis

The voice cast of the upcoming Pixar sequel Finding Dory has swelled further today with some new names joining in the nautical fun, The Hollywood Reporter has revealed.

Comedians Bill Hader (Trainwreck) and Kate McKinnon (Ghostbusters) are to lend their voices to the film, who will voice a fish couple who meet Dory (Ellen DeGeneres) on her journey.

They join previously announced Eugene Levy (American Pie) and Diane Keaton (Something’s Gotta Give), who voice Dory’s parents, along with The Wire stars Idris Elba and Dominic West, Modern Family’s Ed O’Neill and Ty Burrell, Michael Sheen (Masters of Sex) and Kaitlin Olson (Vacation).

The long-awaited sequel to the 2003 hit sees DeGeneres and Albert Brooks (Concussion) return as the titular Dory and Marlin the clownfish, as Dory heads on a search to find her family, with Marlin and Nemo (Hayden Rolence) in tow.

“It really is a whole new chapter this time,” said director Andrew Stanton. “We’re introducing new characters—each with his or her own unique voice. Everyone has something special to offer, which makes it fun and elevates the whole story. Finding Nemo was a great calling card when it came to casting this movie. I don’t take that for granted.”

Finding Dory surfaces in cinemas on June 17th.
