Leslie Jones slams Jason Reitman’s Ghostbusters sequel

January 20, 2019 by Gary Collinson

Earlier this week it was announced that Sony Pictures has enlisted Jason Reitman, son of Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II director Ivan Reitman, to direct a new instalment in the franchise, one which will revert to the original continuity and completely ignore 2016’s female-led reboot.

While the news was celebrated by Ghostbusters fans, it seems not everyone is impressed by the announcement, as Leslie Jones – one of the star’s of Paul Feig’s reboot – has taken to Twitter to blast the project, calling it “insulting” and “such a dick move”.

While details on the new movie are scarce, it has been rumoured this week that it will focus on four teenagers – two male, two female – while Ernie Hudson has suggested that the original cast are on board to reprise their roles.
