Rumour: Teen Titans live-action series to feature three more DC heroes

September 1, 2017 by Gary Collinson

With Warner Bros. and DC gearing up to go into production on the live-action TV series Titans, The Hashtag Show is reporting that the show will see the Teen Titans joined by three other heroes from the DC universe in Hawk and Dove, along with Detective Amy Rohrbach of the Bludhaven Police Department.

The site reports that Alan Ritchson (Smallville) and Rebecca Rittenhouse (The Mindy Project) are wanted for the crimefighting duo of Hawk and Dove, although their casting is not confirmed, and DC may look at other options.

Meanwhile, the report also claims that as with the 90s Nightwing version of the character, Dick Grayson (Brenton Thwaites) will be a detective working for the Bludhaven PD, with Amy Rohrbach working as his partner. According to her character descript, she “knows more than she lets on”, suggesting she’ll be privy to Dick moonlighting as the leader of the Teen Titans.

Just yesterday it was announced that Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales star Brenton Thwaites has been cast as Dick Grayson, joining a cast that also includes Teagan Croft (The Osiris Child) as Raven and Anna Diop (24: Legacy) as Starfire. As yet, there’s no word on who’ll be portraying Beast Boy, but expect an announcement soon.
