The Purge TV series will explore non-Purge days

May 18, 2017 by Gary Collinson

During NBC’s upfront presentation, Blumhouse Productions’ Jason Blum offered up a few details on the upcoming small screen continuation of The Purge franchise, which has been described as “an entirely new chapter in America’s 12 hours of annual lawlessness.”

Blum revealed that the series, which is being written, directed and executive produced by franchise creator James DeMonaco, will feature a new Purge, as well as revealing to fans “what happens the other 364 days of the year and how that law affects people.”

The Purge is set to air on USA Network and Syfy in 2018, while Blumhouse and Universal will also release a fourth instalment in the movie series that same year.
