Patrick Wilson would like to reprise his Watchmen role

January 16, 2018 by Matt Rodgers

Arguably one of the best and most under appreciated actors working today, Patrick Wilson, who’s currently doing the press-rounds for Liam Neeson on a train action flick The Commuter (read our review here), has spoken exclusively to Yahoo Movies about reprising his role as Nite Owl from Zack Snyder’s Watchmen.

HBO will begin production on a TV adaptation of Alan Moore’s seminal graphic novel at some point this year, with Wilson expressing his desire to reprise the role of Daniel Dreiberg, saying “It was such a joy shooting that movie, I wanted there to be more of them”.

It’s doubtful that he’ll be involved with showrunner Damon Lindelof’s iteration, even though he jokingly states, “I certainly think we’re all more age appropriate now!” adding “I’m sure they want to stay as far away from us as possible, but I love Damon Lindelof. I’m so excited to see what they will do.”

Do you agree with Wilson? Would you like to see any of the actors from the movie version cross-pollinate into the HBO series?

Up next for Wilson is another comic book movie, this time performing bad-guy duties in James Wan’s pivotal DCEU entry Aquaman. The Commuter is out on Friday in the UK.
